911 Emergency Guys! - Blu-ray Forum

So it's saturday night just gonna play some nhl 08. Turn on my Playstation and boom! an error message comes up that reads

"the file system has been corrupted and will be restored, press ok to continue"

what does this mean?? will i lose everything if I hit ok?? I'm afraid to touch it, lol

also i've been noticing weird lines left on my disc after coming out of the playstation, today i read a post on the playstation forums about someone having the same problem, what's up with that,

hit 'ok' it will try to restore the corrupted file & that is it. If it keeps happening take your PS3 in for repair it may then need a new HDD.

thanks clyon, it worked. for now anyways, i was just wondering also am i able to send in my ps3 anyways, it's still under warranty for another month by sony. Because I'm having problems with the system msounding like it's grinding when it's playing a game, and also leaving these weird lines on all my discs im putting into it!

this is the second time ive heard someone talk about lines on thier discs. can you describe what the lines look like?
