I hope No country does well actually.

That, and I would like to see Juno do well. I really liked it alot.

As far as my number one pick... I hope Hal Holbrook gets best supporting actor for Into The Wild. I know it probably wont happen but I'll be pullin for him

True story-best pic-should be-No Country. No questions asked. The screeners for There will be blood didn't go out as early as the ones for No Country. Day lewis had an amazing performance but No country was a better story. But-if the Academy votes along with their history-Atonement is going to bring it home-unfortunately. Sorry Folks.

Keira Knightly is being predicted to win best actress for Atonement. Lots of buzz going on about her. Just my 2 cents.

That would certainly be surprising since she isn't nominated.

I stand corrected. Last I heard she was in line for this movie. Oh well, some day I am sure it will happen for her, she's young, but a great performance none the less.

No Country For Old Men was THE best movie of the year. But Juno was a strong close second.

No Country for Old Men was the best 3/4 of a movie. Juno was the Best that i have seen this year. I haven't seen Atonement or There will be Blood.

I'm a gambling degenerate and I actually placed a wager on Ruby Dee to win Best Supporting Actress back in December. I got it at +750 so I'm really pulling for her. Her odds have gone from +750 to +300 after her SAG Award. Other than that I hope PTA and TWBB take home EVERY statue they were nominated for. I LOVED that movie.

If the Academy votes in line with their history they will vote for Atonement? How do you figure. Go back and look at the last 10 Best Picture Winners. Where does that logic come in to play? Actually if anything, it would dictate that There Will Be Blood is going to win. And it SHOULD win. It is the best movie, has the best directing, best acting, best score, best cinematography, and best story. It was THE best movie of the year.

Is anyone else in "I'm Not There" besides Cate Blanchett?
That's the only aspect of the movie critics seem to talk about...

(And as Juno-crazy as the committee is, last chance to get Best Actress bids on Julie Christie's reported lock...)
