Default Blade Trilogy vs. Underworld Trilogy

Which trilogy do you prefer as a whole. I really enjoyed Blade 1 and 2 (Blade 3 sucked to me), but I liked all 3 Underworlds. So Underworld gets my vote.

I voted Underworld for the exact same reason as the OP. I really loved Blade 1 & 2, but was not so impressed with the 3rd one.

Thumbs up Woah, Finally A Poll NOT Made By CZAR? :-)

The first Blade was great. The use of Pump Panel's remix of New Order's song, "Confusion" in the club scene was classic, but the ending with the Blood God was so anti-climatic. Blade II was good and ......well.....we all know how craptacular Blade III was.

I chose the Underworld trilogy. They rocked the house with some great fun. Least fav is the 2nd one and my most fav is the last one, ironically
[Show spoiler]the only part with Kate Beckinsale in it is the end shot

I like both equally. Can't really pick one over the other.

The third part of both trilogies are meh, but I give the edge to Underworld.

Underworld is great. I loved all 3 films. I would let Kate Beckinsale bite me any day.

Very good poll. Though I like Underworld: Evolution more than Blade Trinity, they are both the weakest of their respective trilogies. I still voted Blade because I like Blade and Blade II better than UW 1 and 3 (although don't get me wrong, Kate is a goddess).

Also, as a trilogy, I'm much more inclined to go through the entire Blade trilogy, whereas if I were feeling Underworld, I would rather watch the first one a bunch of times, because it is miles above the sequels.

And on top of all that, Blade II is one of my favorite action films.

Can't argue with that logic.

Blade 3 entirely ruined the whole series... 1 & 2 will forever have the taint of the 3rd one.

Plus, some of the CGI in the 2nd one didn't stand the test of time*

Logan

*even though it hasn't been very long at all... it didn't even really stand the test of time from the conversion to DVD.

Blade by a long shot. Underworld 3 was horrible, much worse than blade 3. And blade 2 was directed by the great del Toro, which makes it better than anything underworld could deliver.

Underworld gets my vote.

Sometimes when I watch Underworld I just want to say "Damn it, Kate/Selene, take a shower!" but then I think that sometimes a dirty girl is nice.

So... I'm guessing you haven't actually WATCHED the movie and are just basing this assumption on the fact that you know who the director was.

Otherwise I shall surely have to laugh...

I'm going with Underworld. Blade is decent and has a lot of good moments but I enjoy Underworld a lot more. I think Rise of the Lycans is actually pretty darn good, very solid entry in the series; Underworld 2 is the weak link IMO.

There seem to be a lot of people here who didn't particularly care for the 2nd outing in either franchise, but personally I enjoyed the 2nd movie in each series the most.

I voted for Underworld, but while they do deal with Vampires, the two are different story wise. Plus seeing Kate Beckinsale in that tight leather outfit running around. I liked Blade but haven't seen the third in the series so I can't really say if I like that trilogy more or less.
