Default Contacting studios?

Is there a way to contact studios to request titles be released? I am sure everyone would like certain titles released, but I would do back flips if Disney would release Miracle on Blu Ray!!

No, but you could always try their customer support Doubt it would work. Nor do they really care what a single phone call says, but still. You'd have the satisfaction that you requested it.

How do studios decide what movies that are going to put on BR?

Sales data, tie-ins (Miracle would be a likely bet for the 2010 winter olympics), how well it sold on DVD, that sort of thing

There simply isn't a way for consumers to do more than get that the title is wanted jotted down through a customer service agent

I'd imagine that it's a bit of an art form at this point but given what seems to me to be a relatively large number of "Box Office Bombs" (as repored on Wikipedia's list) that are already available on Blu-ray I'd say they're sandbagging right now and holding good catalog titles back until the market is larger.

if only online petitions actually worked for a company like disney. I would request the Rocketeer. That DVD transfer is utter junk. It never got a fair shake since it opened the same time as T2.

Its all timing with companys. Why do companys wait a full year to release christmas movies onto video like Santa Clause 3 or Fred Clause. Because more people will buy them between Nov-Dec than Mar-Apr. When do summer blockbusters come out on video? Right before the largest shopping holiday of the year...I believe what Wicky said, Miracle will probably be released right before the 2010 Winter Olympics. Just like Lord of the Rings might not be released until the Hobbit comes out. Same thing with Indy Trilogy(thank God thats this year) and Jurassic Park for Jurassic Park 4

So we will never see the Rocketeer anytime soon? Craptastic.
