I just passed noob status, but Im still not really good. If you want to practice, play your first games in ones with a red X over the cup symbol. That means its not ranked and won't count on your record. Once you get used to it, its great. I think its one of the best games ever released for any console.

Go here. It helped me a great deal.
http://www.warhawkstats.com/ This will help as well. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Warhawk...Station_3_game) Warhawk is available in two flavors, $40 download or $60 package at store (includes headset). You normally start each level as a military grunt with a knife and pistol. You can play in 3rd person mode as a grunt or hop in various vehicles (Warhawk - jet/hovercraft, tank, jeep, etc.). The game has no one player mode, so it kind of just dumps you in the middle of battle and it can take quite a few times before you can stay alive for very long. What I find the most fun about this game is it keeps up with your military rank, medals, badges, and ribbons for various accomplishments. So as you play more and accomplish various activities (like performing 7 kills with a tank) you get promoted and are given awards. Promotions also unlock new uniform and customization options, so you can change how your grunt looks and the paint scheme on your Warhawk. There are only a few maps, but depending on the mode it is played in, it can grow massive or shrink really small, changing game play and tactics. There is also an expansion set available that adds a new map and a new vehicle. Awesome game. |

If it has not been answered...
Warhawk has no missions, but it does have a VERY ballanced game play. Start on a LAN (not online) and explore/get the feel for the controls. Zones is the best for new players, then CTF as the killing of suck players is not the focus. Each map has several bases, and each base acts as a spawn once controlled. Flying for new players is a no-go. STAY ON THE GROUND. I have about a 10/15-1 Kill-Death Ratio flying, and I LOVE to see the low ranks in the air. Reason being, when you fly, EVERYONE can see you on the HUD map. when you are on the ground it is harder to find you. Second, Warhawk is a flying game. Once you get the feel, try to fly in a non-ranked server. Dont go for long without exploring this part of the game, but dont jump into it to quickly. I have 250 hours BTW. It is likely the best money I have spent. $0.16 an hour so far. This game NEVER gets dull. I think this is because you can hide from the enemy unlike most online games... You can play agressive, passive, lead follow, tank, aircraft, on foot, snipe, sit in a anti-air turret... The whole game is A++ |

I'm just above you in playing hours (if I remember right, who knows) and honestly, I never thought I'd play more than a few weeks. When the game came out, it looked like it might be a good time waster until something new was released. Whoops. ![]() As was said, the game allows you to mix it up. I play CTF 99% of the time. I can play defense, offense, both, fly, mine people, snipe, and my personal favorite: fly around in a jeep pissing people off, because they can't kill me. I'm a team player and I love setting up diversions so my team members can advance. Yeah, it goes unnoticed by most everyone, but I know what I did. And yes, have fun! I'm a solid player, but who cares. Don't get all caught up in the juvenile "I'm leet" garbage. Die, respawn, help your team and have fun. Some of the games I had the most fun in, I died the most. There was one game where I had like 4 kills and 28 deaths (and still have a 1.9 KDR baby). I kept bum rushing the base and forcing the other team to stay back on defense. Eventually, some of my team got into the act and we capped the flags for the victory. That's why CTF is fun for me. I'll do all sorts of dumb crap, like commit suicide by activating an enemy mine with a grenade to stop someone or roll my jeep in the way of a tank to make him stop long enough for us to recoup. I die, but the task is complete. Strategy baby! Crap. I just talked myself into playing right now. Cyas. ![]() |

You get -30 for teamkilling someone holding a flag. I've done it a few times by accident. It's good they do it though, otherwise evertime someone grabbed the flag they would be team killed instantly.
