Can't Find Wii anywhere - WHY? - Blu-ray Forum

I have been looking for a Wii game console for WEEKS. I cannot find one anywhere unless I want to pay hi-jacked prices online.

Can anyone offer advice on how I can score a Wii at the regular $249 price?

Thanks in advance. I am tired of being Wii-less.

I go to EB or Gamestop here early Wednesday morning and they always have some...

Because the government has stern rules against going wii on everything, or showing your wii wii.

Have you tried entertainmart, I saw a sign there saying they had Wii's.

Really? Which town and state are you in? I am on north central Long Island (NY). There are s few Gamestops in my area.

I asked Best Buy and they said they don;t know when they might get any -- but when they do they sell out in minutes.

I like the interactivity of Wii. That bowling game is quite fun. My neighbor has it so I played his.

Your supposed to be able to Pre-Order them at Gamestop by some Ticket Service thingy. You pay, and they let you know when you can pick it up. Something like that. Or you could ask them when their next batch of Wii's are comming in, and then show up an hour before opening.

I'm just amazed that the Wii is still so hard to find after over a year. I don't search for it in the stores because I already have one but from what I hear online is it is nearly impossible to find still. I'm glad I got mine on launch day, I just showed up 2 hours before the store opened and got it the first day. I don't play it that much but I still love it even just for Zelda.

The Best Buy here in Bellevue, WA had stacks of them when I went in there on Saturday. All right by the front door.

the high end components that aren't available in the ps3 and 360 are harder to produce for the wii, thats why its in such short supply all the time...oh wait

Circuit City's flyer for next week (which hits this Sunday) is supposedly advertising Wii's as in stock, in limited quantities.

Quite honestly, as "neat" as they look, everything I've read says the games are WEAKSAUCE and the fact that they are not HD makes me go "pfft". No thanks.

Go to a Circuit City this Sunday (March 2nd). They are going to have 20 min. per store.

Try call your local Gamestops every day 5 mins after they open. My wife has done so for the PS3 when it was sold out everywhere. Took her about 9 tries and they had some in stock... so last december we did the same for the Wii and low and behold... 5 tries and got one.
They get shipments twice a week mo-fr, probably tell you that they don't know for sure on which day, so you know if they got one on wednesday there's gotta be another shipment thursday or friday.

I know for a fact almost every walmart got a shipment of 20 in today, Ive helped out numerous friends get one.

Best bet?

Best Buy 8:30pm at night, everynight (try thursday) , or CC this sunday and get there at 8am, they will have minimum 15 wii's in stock.

Its ur last week really to get one before Brawl comes out, after that, good luck
