I might want to get a Laptop with BD, so I can do some screencaps of the nice scenes in the movies that I own. Has anybody been able to screen cap BD movies on their laptop?
I am thinking using Power DVD- but isn't that only for DVDs? Does BD movie player have a capture capability? Last edited by STI Jaguar; 02-28-2008 at 05:27 PM. Reason: edited title |

If you want proper responses to your questions please post threads with proper titles, not misleading ones.
Yes, there is the profile 1.1 Blu-ray certified Cyberlink software player for Blu-ray discs on PC's and I would believe that it is entirely possible to do screen caps through that. |

I agree with the afore mentioned comments. Your title is mis-leading and though your asking a legit question in the body of your thread, the title is just asking for some swipes.
Just some honest advice. |

I love Toshiba’s laptops; however, I need one with Blu-ray, and yes this statement might sounds like an oxymoron, however, wait till WB and Universal goes Blu. And back on topic, I believe CyberLink’s software for Blu-ray should do fine.

Yeah same here, forget about HD DVD for a sec, they make nice electronics, esp their TVs and laptops.

Hopefull this policy will change once the fascination with 1080p is over. May take 2-3 years.

With PowerDVD Ultra, when a Blu-ray Disc is playing, the capture button changes to the Popup Menu button.
So, in PowerDVD Ultra, when playing a Blu-ray Disc... you cannot capture a frame. There *IS* a away to do it, but I can't post it here. |
