Rock Band Guitar ? PS3 - PS2

Does anyone know if a Rock Band PS2 guitar will work with the PS3? Since it is only a USB item, wasn't sure...

I'm looking to borrow one so that I can host a Rock Band Party and I know a few people that have the PS2 and Xbobx 360 version - but nobody with the PS3 one. Already figure Xbox isn't compatible.

Not sure about that one... not to highjack your thread, but does the GH3 guitar work with Rock Band? No way I will be paying $150+ for that game to get new gear!

No - that question asked many times around here...was afraid this thread would be shut done it went that direction. One day GH3 may work - if Activision and EA can come to an agreement.

I know the PS3 version works on the PS2 version, so I assume it should work the other way around.

Is the PS2 guitar wireless the same as the PS3? I guess the big question would be does it have the PS button on it.

That's good to know...but next answer about PS button is a valid question. I'll just go next door and see if the guy will let me borrow his PS2 version and try it out.
