So has anyone tried throwing an 8GB Solid Sate Drive in their PS3? Seems like this would do wonders for load times on games like Uncharted that cache data on the HD. Of course, you'd need an external HDD to actually store most of the data unless you have 3k to burn on a decent sized SSD... lol

That would be wild! I'm sure there are adapters for the internal Ps3 drive slot to have an external connector. Of course, the drive would STILL be limited to SATA maximum transport speed restrictions (150MBps, I believe), but I would love to see this in operation.
