Lol... well you can a few of mine if you want.. I'll even throw in a few bills too for you want.

Well as dumb as it sounds just get a cashback card.. then use that money for Blu-rays if it bothers that much. Alternatively just get a Sony Card.. which you'll then get enough points to get a couple of free blu-rays just for signing up..Well the UK version does anyway.

Mmmhmm. As long as you don't use them as a way to live beyond your means, it's all good.

From the bitter voice of experience... ain't that the truth..

IF you only plan to use it as a way of paying directly then paying the bill off completely every month then there's nothing sinister in a credit card.

If that's the case, you might as well just use a bank card. That's what I do. I refuse to buy anything on credit other than a car now.

Get the amazon card, and then use it to purchase discs to help this site if you really must.

Personally I wouldn't recommend anyone taking a credit card just for earning cash back, but that's me.

Agreed but I'm talking about on Credit cards with instant cash back.. if you can get something for nothing then why not eh..even if it is only a couple of % a time. As long as you pay your balance in full every month you'll actually make money out of them as opposed to the other way round.

Why would anyone want to put a car purchase on a credit card?

If the dealer can't bring himself to give me very low single digit percentages in financing (like 3% and under) I'm walking off the car lot.

SONY CARD!!!

Save $100 off of a PS3

Get 5 points for every dollar you spend at Sony Style stores or off sonystyle.com.

So if you sign up for a card you get a PS3 for $299 and you get 1500 points.

You also get 1 point for every dollar you spend wherever and 3 points for every dollar you spend at Sony preferred retailers.

If you go and answer questions and play games on Sonystyle.com you get more points and can buy products with your points for even less.

I get a free blu-ray once ever 2-3 months or so from the program. So far I have gotten 5 free blu-rays from my Sony credit! The only downfall is, only Sony titles are available.

I want an American Express Black card. If I had that, I wouldn't really be worrying about the balance too much

you dont put cars on a credit card. It's called having credit when you pay monthly for a car through their financing department. And isn't 2.9% the lowest many car companies go? In that case < 3% is a bit much to ask.

A friend of mine is an assistant for a top-end WWF wrestler who's a mutual friend.

Basically he makes sure his electric bill gets paid, flowers for his wife, all the little stuff that's hard to take care of when you're on the road 5 days a week and still have a life

Said wrestler is also a big gamer, and since he had been ignoring said friend and not returning his calls. So we bought him an Xbox360 and a pile of games on his black card (wrestlers starting salary is about $250k, but between travel expenses and health insurance, which they all have to pay themselves, take home from that usually ends up sub $100k. The biggest names can make upwards of a million before endorsements. They charge flights, hotels, car rental, food etc so a lot of them have black cards)

Needless to say he got a phone call when he returned form the road

*ring*
*Hell*
*Geoff, it's XXX*
*Hey, long time no hear!*
*Geoff*
*yesssssssssss*
*why do I have an xbox 360?*
*well, I thought you'd want one, you've got everything else*
*uh huh*
*maybe if you'd called me I would have mentioned it to you before it shipped*
*maybe so*
*Geoff?*
*yesssss*
*you realize I'm going ot have to kill you right?*

Geoff escaped by threatening to tell a egotistical ass of a wrestler who has the bosses ear who really was pulling a certain prank on a weekly basis

If you had the income to receive an AMEX Black Card... you wouldn't NEED the Black Card.

@all - There is no such thing as "responsible use of a credit card." If you think that, you've drank too much of the Kool Aid.

I feel that they are kind of necessary. I really don't want a hotel room authorization on my debit card. It can take weeks to remove the "hold" that they put on there.
I rarley use my credit cards, but when I do, I pay them off every month. I hate paying interest, and none of my cards have Annual Fees.
