Default What was your first ever Blu-ray Disc?

I have yet to buy one yet. I am holding out for the Panasonic DMP-BD50 player; at the same time I will buy my first disc. Not that your "first" one is that big a deal but I guess it kind of is. So if you want to weigh in, please share what was your first Blu Ray disc?

First ever? Hard to say. My brother and I each bought and sold a PS3 at launch that included Talledega Nights: Ballad of Ricky Bobby single-layer version, but we later bought a PS3 from Best Buy and made them fufill the "free TN:BoRB" deal that they were still advertising in early January 2007 with a $35 copy of the retail dual-layer "Unrated" version.

First I actually bought? I'm not sure because I rented after that and a lot of the rentals became purchases (The Prestige, Apocalypto, etc). Thankfully, I lived near one of the 250 Blockbuster Video stores that was renting BD movies in early 2007. Among the first I rented in addition to those were The Great Raid, Lady in the Water, Open Season, Lord of War, Silent Hill, etc. I know I didn't rent Lord of War early on, and I know that I had seen multiple MPEG2 movies before seeing my first AVC movie (The Great Raid), but I just can't remember what they were. Two of my early purchases were the first two Pirates of the Caribbean movies, but those couldn't have been my first. Though I am glad I bought POTC: Curse of the Black Pearl, I fell asleep during POTC: Dead Man's Chest after rolling my eyes at the outlandishness of it all and never cared to get/watch the third (At World's End).

I wish I could say that I had imported one of the Japanese BD recorders from 2001 or 2002 (whenever) and could claim to have had a blank in a cartridge disc first. Of course, those weren't made to play movies packaged to sell on BD.
