It's been a while, but I think that through the loss of her humanity, she developed a deep seeded hatred for all humanity and the little boy made her face that and ultimately embrace what she hated and lost.

Bottom line...EYE CANDY.

From wiki:

Quote:
The opening credits is a montage of comic book covers, indicating that the atmosphere of the film is heavily inspired by comic books and manga. The impression of the movie as a live-action comic book or anime is further reinforced by the extensive use of bright-hue colors, as well as soft-focus on close-ups to give the faces of the characters a blurred, air-brushed appearance.

The plot was pretty easy to follow and laid out. Maybe a few tiny odd plot movements (not in a bad way) but did you pay attention or were you too distracted by Milla?

I don't own the BR version of this, but I do have the extended cut. I saw this movie at a discount theater, it didn't make much sense...but after seeing the extended cut, it filled in alot of the story. I recommend watching the extended cut. Not sure if that cut is on the BR or not, but it sure as hell should be.

I think the guy who said "Eye Candy" hit it pretty close.

This is one of the few movies that actually may be better on the DVD than the Blu-Ray. Not because the BD lacks PQ. In fact quite the opposite. The PQ on this transfer is excellent. In fact the PQ is so good that nothing in the entire move looks real. Pretty much every scene in the entire movie contains at least some CGI parts. Much of it is entirely CGI. The lower PQ of the DVD 'disguises' that to some extent making it appear more realistic, that is if anything at all in this picture can be tought of as real.

I still like the flick. Milla looks hot in it. What's not to like about that?

if you really want the 'extended cut' on BD you can buy the Japanese version, but expect to pay around $50 for it.
