Default I have a question about how the Blu-ray of Star Trek the motion picture starts

I put on my blu-ray of Star Trek the motion picture. It's from my "Star Trek: Original Motion Picture Collection" here is the link to what I ordered from Amazon.

Okay well when I put in the first Star Trek movie "Star Trek the motion picture" at first all I saw was black. I heard sound but saw black. About a minute and a half later I saw the studio logo and the opening credits and all that. I wanted to ask if my Blu-ray has a defect or if the black is supposed to be there.

I think the overture (Ilia's Theme) plays at the very beginning of the film, while the screen is black, prior to the Paramount logo.

ST:TMP opens with a musical overture over a black screen, so what you’re seeing is normal.
