The Blu-Ray hasn't been announced to my knowledge. The HD DVD was just cancelled.

No, but it's expected that there will be an announcement on 3/4 from Paramount about upcoming Blu titles, Sweeney being one of them.

Missed out seeing Sweeney Todd at the movie theaters.How good of a movie is it anyways?

i really enjoyed it,.. as it was a different approach to Sweeney Todd.

even better if your into your musicals

i will be picking up the blu-ray.

Patience is a virtue. And, give Paramount a little bit of time to turn their operation around properly. Last thing we want is them just throwing their HD DVD transfers onto a Blu-ray disc. It takes time to properly format in order to maximize the PQ and AQ for a better format.

I'd rather wait and know that I'm getting AVC video and PCM or DTS HD sound on it.

With the Mount pulling it on HD-DUD, I'm sure it will come out on blu!

It's really good. I think it's made this material popular again. The show was a huge hit in the late 70s. And I think the movie was pretty successful.

THE SCORE IS F-ING AMAZING.

It is listed on most UK online retailers for release on the 19th May, by Warner Home Video. Here is the Amazon.co.uk pre-order link.....

So, if or when they announce Sweeney Todd on BluRay, do you guys think it'll make it by the release date for the DVD (on April 1st), or do you think it'll be pushed back?
