He hit it on the nail, I used to work there, same generic questions, if you get interviewed once, and thats it, you didnt get the job, if you get interviewed twice, and then they hire you on the spot, then u got the job, basically, they will hire you after the interviews.

Hope you like farms, cause now your an ant. Its cool tho, but your just an ant and its not worth the time and effort and politic playing to move up in the company. Raises have limits, like most retail. Boo. If I woulda stayed there it woulda took me 10 yrs to make what im making now, fresh out the gate

no no one actually works at target, or at least thats been my experience.
Enjoy getting paid to run away from customers and stand idly by while one of 20 cash registers is the only one open with a line of 50.

Sorry I have a bias against target

Well Done! That's my second interview. I wasn't hired at first and hopefully I'll get the job soon! No work on Tuesday for me!

True. The same can be said for some Wal*Mart stores as well.

I used to go to Target all the time. Then it was Best Buy. I pretty much have no need of Target anymore since...between working at Best Buy and knowing where to shop online I haven't paid MSRP in years. They do have a decent business sense, if you can get the right manager to roll the ideas out properly.

Hah... that line just reminded me of my first retail job at The Wherehouse. I was in the receiving dept. right next to the manager's office. She'd call me in from time to time to look over job applications, and I remember one applicant who responded to the question, "Why do you want to work at the Wherehouse?" with:

"Good fist job."

That made our day.

they will ask you about company ethics and some information. the only way they wont hire you is if you have a criminal record of stealing or something. thats all.

Worked for Target, and got sick of the loss department constantly looking over MY shoulder at what I was doing. They are more worried about employee theft then anything, or at least my store was.

Of course we set off the alarms 50 times a night by sticking those sensors in everybodys pockets.... working late night and having NOTHING to do = bad practical jokes. Once, we stuck those sensor squares on every shopping cart, I bet they were pissed during the day as the alarms kept going off every time somebody went in and out with a cart.

Go to the jewelry counter with one item out of your basket. Ask if they can check you out. When they say yes set the item on the counter and retrieve your basket.

Used that method more than once.

We did the same thing with the sensors. The bottoms of shoes were fun. Our LP guys ended up being the theft problem. We got a new guy in and he busted all 4 of the others.

I used to work at that counter. In the 'Greatland' stores I was right in the middle front, so I rang people up a lot.

Uh no no.... at least not at the Target I worked at. I was the Cart Attentant (aka *****) They loved to pull me off the lot onto a register when I needed to be pulling carts, cleaning the bathrooms, doing carry-outs, compacting boxes, running errands for cashiers, and basically doing everyone else's job when they didn't feel like doing it.

God forbid ONE 'guest' had to wait in line for fifteen seconds. You might be better off just walking in there and flipping off the interviewer. Save you a lot of trouble
