Original PlayStation 3 with RSX from later model PlayStation 3 - Blu-ray Forum

Has anyone here with an original 2006 PlayStation 3 had the RSX 'Reality Synthesizer' from a later model put into it? If so, how well is yours working and is it running any cooler and/or quieter than with the original RSX?

This person is selling a couple 2006 CECHA01 PlayStation 3 machines with the chips from the later models in them if anyone here is interested.
