No, it won't work.

The PS3 uses bluetooth for it's remote connectivity.

This also means, my freaking expensive harmony won't work with my ps3 [*grumble*].

The only remote I know of that's on the market now is the Sony remote. You can pick it up at most of the store fronts, but locally anyway, most of the places that have had it in stock, have sold out. Gamestop/EB Games, Best Buy, and Target are places I've confirmed carrying it recently.
