The lady friend made me catch up on all 4 before seeing part 5 last summer. Admittedly I was never a fan of anything Harry Potter, but the movies were well done and I've always liked Chris Columbus and John Williams. I personally think the movies got worse as they went along, but the PQ and SQ on the Blu's go up with the more recent ones.

Quick question about Harry Potter and the Order of the Phoenix.

I recently bought the blu-ray from eBay, it was still in its sealed WB wrapper and even had the HMV sticker on the front (obviously its the UK release) rated 12 on the case, yet when i play it the disc comes up with an FBI warning and shows the MPAA PG-13 board.

Is that weird or do all warner blu-ray do that?

Order of the Phoenix is the best looking one, imo.

All countries rate different. Heck, in Switzerland it even differs from City to City

I just thought they were OK at first, then the second time through I got hooked.

Now I am on my second pass through the books.

Can't wait for Half-Blood Prince to come out this Fall.

Yes, I'm still crying that Guillermo del Torro turned it down though (Hellboy 2 is something to look forward to, but Halfblood Prince screams for a director with a talent for gritty dark movies). One can still hope for The Deathly Hallows to be directed by him.

i really liked all the movies except 3 i thought the director butchered that story...i know Curon's take on it was a love it or hate it type deal i just happen to fall into the latter category some of the things he cut and the useless transistions just bothered me to much.

honestly i'm not excited about the last 3 movies(yep i said 3, the good folks at wb knowing a good cash cow when they see one have decided to make book 7 into 2 movies). first i always felt the 6th book would be the worst movie and the direction she took in the books for 6 and 7 just bugged me. if they film the epilogue at the end i'm gonna run screaming from the theater.

That is a unsubstantiated rumor. No proof of that at all. Besides, I think that in order to get everything in plot wise; that two movies of the last book are needed, either that or a four hour movie. There is nothing from the last book that can be cut or left out.

I find the Harry Potter films to be very entertaining. I'll stop short of saying they are great films. But, they are entertaining to me, nonetheless. I've tried to read these books, but I just can't. The names just drive me insane.

As a side note, I think Michael Gambon has been great as a replacement for Richard Harris (I thought Harris was such a gifted actor and it's a shame he's passed away). Also, the casting of Gary Oldman as Sirius Black is fantastic as well.

Generally speaking the casting has been good. Though I wish we could have seen Billy Connolly(http://www.imdb.com/name/nm0175262/) as Madeye Moody, though Brendan Gleason brings his own style to the part.

I think Brendan Gleeson is great. He's rarely disappointed me in any of his roles (perhaps just Mission Impossible 2). But for Moody, I think he's wonderful.

Billy Connolly wouldv'e been a great choice as well. Look at the bright side... he'll be in the new X-Files movie.... if you're into that sort of thing... which I'm not.

The first 2 films were really boring for me... but, only 15 minutes into 'The Prisoner Of Azkahban' and I was officially invested in the entire series (all past, present, and future installments).

Not much hope. Lois Lowry let it slip in her blog that David Yates turned down directing "The Giver" to do the final Harry Potter film. Not 100% confirmed, but at this point it seems very likely.

Not the biggest fan of the idea of splitting the final film into two, but at the same time if it goes out as being faithful to the book, then so be it. Hopefully the Blu-ray release will be one film. I find it odd that, while Order of the Phoenix is the longest book, it's the shortest movie with almost, if not the most content cut.

I got all 5 Harry Potter movies on Blu-ray in record time over the course of three days! And I have to say that out of the whole series, I think that "The Order of the Phoenix" (which should have been longer) had the best PQ and AQ!
