Gattaca seem grainy? - Blu-ray Forum

I had the movie in my hand this morning and looked at it. The movie images on the back of the case seem grainy. Did the studio scan or print bad quality photo or the movie seemed grainy? Anyone noticed? Im not judging blu quality but wondered if pictures is from actual tv image or they scanned movie photo?
I know this is a good sci fi movie and i will buy it tonight if there available at Best buy. Just wondering about movie's PQ. Anyone?

Not another one of these.
The little screen shot on the back of the case is no where near detailed enough to show you grain. Besides, that image may have been manipulated with all sorts of enhancements and noise/grain removal to try to sell the movie.
Never judge a Blu-ray by its cover!

Haven't seen it yet myself tho

i asked because i read about it for few days, including that link. just noticed that image wasnt printed good on the cover as i was looking at it this morning. I did not b uy it because it looked bad. i had short cash flow and needed go home collect more money, thats when i decided to start this thread. Just wanting to see if anyone noticed some bad artwork on back of case. it made movie looked grainy. I planned to pick it up since it announced. Yes my wife has the card for today, because expensive blu day!

I plan on picking this one up as soon as I have time to go to bestbuy this weekend. Gattaca is one of my all time favorites. HDDigest is fairly unbiased in the reviews. PQ is supposed to be great.

Check their website for in-store availability before you waste a trip. It is available in-store in only a limited number of Best Buys at the moment.

No BestBuys in my state are carrying it at the moment.

Could someone with this title tell me if it is region coded. I pre-ordered it with amazon.com and at that time it was listed as "all regions". Now it's down as region 1 (A???). Hope not as it has shipped

Am not interested in this movie but the video quality looks much better than the Superbit DVD.

I know what the OP is saying. I've seen some images on the back of the box art and have thought "wow, they didn't really put any effort into making this look decent". Some things just seem sloppy like that.

Don't judge a book by it's cover. I should be getting Gattaca and ID4 in from Amazon tomorrow and will watch it tomorrow night. Gattaca for some reason is going to be hard to find at any Bestbuy.

I usually do... but for pre-orders often the titles aren't listed. I have since found out that it is regions A, B & C. Thanks to Sony Pictures. I am extremely wary of Fox titles... these I never pre-order from the USA.
