What do you guys think of the best buy deal going on right now 720p samsung 50 inch plasma for 1299, 1799 originally???

I wouldn't get it. Reason being is I have a 720p lcd I bought last year and now with bluray it has left me wanting more.

I think 720P is fine, but I wouldn't get one for $1,300 in a 50"..... 50" will justify the 1080P.

Besides, at that price point, there are tons of 46" T.V.s out there..... there are "jumps" in price bands from size to size, and 50" is still relatively expensive on the size-to-dollar ratio.

Just skim a Fry's ad every week and you'll find nice deals on 42"-56" 1080p TV's. There was a 42" 1080p for $1399 or so last week. A good deal.

Why is everyone so fast to put people down on message boards? How about we try and be understanding and nice and help steer people in the right direction.

He has 15 posts, so he is probably new. This forum is "Move and TV Discussion", he could easily mistake that for physical TVs. We should tell him that this is actually TV shows and there is an actual TV section for people who want answers on actual TV sets.
