Thumbs up

This is personally a must buy if you don't want to pay for professional calibration!

I've got it on order. Currently very happy with the look of my Sony, but if I can tease another few percent of perfomance out if it I'll be happy.

I have the DVD version (will be getting the Blu also) and yes, it's pretty easy, but takes a while to do it properly. (Set aside say an hour.)

Finally bit the bullet and preordered it. I've never felt too confident with my Avia settings. Now I have to get a sound level meter . . . always did it by ear before, but with the new speakers I want everything set up right nice Should have my new lamp in for my DLP by then too . . . swanky!

This title has been delayed so many times before. The person behind DVE, Joe Kane, was a big HD DVD backer(one-time Microsoft consultant). How nice of him to finally release it on BD now that the format war is over.

I suggest that everyone should read the thread I created on "Calibrating Your Audio With an SPL Meter". It makes references to DVE and helps you with sound adjustments and subwoofer placement.
