Because they are releasing all Warner Hd-dvd's 3 weeks later.

because Warner committed to releasing movies on HD-DVD through end of May with a 3 week gap in between releases regardless of the state of HD-DVD

This may change of course as time progresses

WBs said they would release the movies until may but would release blu-ray 3 weeks earlier..

Does it really matter?

Warner is showing their support for Blu-ray by releasing HD-DVDs three weeks after the Blu-ray release, until May 2008 when they support Blu-ray 100% and drop HD-DVD.

Warner is HD-DVDs only supplier anymore. I wouldn't be surprised if they pulled the plug before June.

Reports from France and Germany appears to indicate that Warner will stop releasing in HD DVD before 6/1/08. However, it is irrelevant.

A better question would be: WHY THE HELL IS WARNER BOTHERING TO RELEASE "I AM LEGEND" ON HD DUD IN THE FIRST PLACE?

The reason is simple.

To try to keep people from buying it on HD DVD.

WB has people's best interests in mind. If you haven't moved to Blu Ray,.. they will help try to show you the way.

Sadly some HD DUD-ers are dumber then a bag of hammers and nothing works when trying to teach them something.

Either way,.. Netflix has this in the mail so I'll get this tomorrow. Hope it's good.

I actually think many of these late HD-DVDs will become collector's items, just like late LDs became collectors (Tomorrow Never Dies, Matrix etc), these were the one the most sought after on ebay.

So don't joke on the guys buying. With the money they will make reselling I am a Legend HD-DVD in 5 to 10 years, they will be able to buy at least 20 BR or the new version of the PS3.

Well, it worked for me. I thought i'd buy the WB HD DVDs until the end, but then i ordered IaL on blu. Even though the HD DVD is priced about the same.

Sometimes one has to know when to stop...
