Who's buying all these PS2's (real question)? Also, would Sony be better off pulling the plug on the PS2 to try and sell more PS3's. Somebody with some better "economics" knowledge help me understand.
I never did own a PS2. Is it just a great machine also? |

Unfortunately, people tend to be too U.S. Centric. Don't forget that movie studios generate more than 60% of their sales from outside of the United States. These are the figures (according to VGChartz) for Japan and the World in Februraty 2008.
Japan (February 2008) Wii 291,127 PSP 261,959 DS 226,033 PS3 68,953 PS3 41,118 X360 11,534 World (February 2008) DS: 1,453,197 Wii: 1,290,455 PS3: 739,971 PSP: 703,842 X360: 556,268 PS2: 493,168 Globally, you can claim that PS3 is kicking the crap out of Xbox. |
