Default The Hills Have Eyes

every website i look at, they don't have this in stock,..

... some say 3-4 days, but i doubt most of them to be honest.

why is this UK version in such short supply? ... just after the first,.. as the second one was awful.

I just can't stomach that movie...*blech*

And I usually have a pretty strong constitution -- almost walked out on it, though.

There's something to be said for horror, and something to be said for sadism. Ah well, each to their own.

Xploited is an awesome place to buy from -- Tony is great!

i stopped it halfway through after the RV scene and it took me awhile to sit down and view it again.

funnily enough on the bluray release of the first one they put a still from the second film on the back cover nice one fox!.

Mmmmm...Vinessa Shaw.

Yum.

Also see her in Eyes Wide Shut and Corky Romano.

I see this movie on HD-TV alot...looks pretty good. The Blu-Ray must be pretty good.

Just watched the Blu Ray and it is a pretty nice transfer. So much more detail in the scenery.

I liked the first one a lot. it was pretty messed up, but I like it didn't hold back. Most scary movies nowaday have nothing to it or they're rated pg13. I'd rather it be more real, imo.

I received this disc from xploited a while ago.

Is it an upgrade? YES

Is it worth $40? Depends how much of a fan you are.

The detail in the scenery is awesome. The daytime shots really look great, and that's good because a lot of the ultraviolence happens when it's light out. The PQ is so sharp in some scenes you can actually count the pebbles in the desert terrain. The US dvd already looks great so this isn't going to be a mind blowing upgrade.

The DTS-MA sound is incredible. Right from the get-go the bass is pumping, and sounds of metal hitting rocks flies across your room. The THUD of the pick-axe in the scene near the end is awesome. Those low frequency electronic sounds Aja uses sound eerie as hell. The surrounds really come into play during some scenes ("daddy......daddy....DADDY!!!!") and will scare the pants anyone who hasn't seen this yet. It felt like the mutants were breathing in my ear. No kidding!

As some have said this film is BRUTAL. I didn't remember the trailer scene being so bad the first time I watched it. Made me a little uncomfortable watching with the wife, even though we had both watched the dvd. Maybe the BD is a different cut?

The Hills Have Eyes gets my vote as the second best "new school" horror blu-ray out, next to The Descent.

yeah this is the full uncut version, although the soundtrack was awesome I must admit I was disappointed with the transfer it was very grainy.
