Blu-ray.com ,how about some image space in signatures?

I like images in sigs, unless I am viewing the page from my blackberry, which I often do. It would be nice if there was a mobile version of this site and then pics in the sigs wouid be great as people could just use the mobile version which would strip off the avatars and sigs.

I use a treo and have never really been bothered with members posting pics but yes a mobile version wouldn't hurt.

Images in signature spaces would only bog the load times. One of the reasons why I enjoy frequenting this site is because it loads fast. Plus regulation of appropriate and inappropriate images will only add onto the extra work mods have to do.

about what...2-4 sec more....I don't know if you've noticed but this site has gifs and jpeg in every thread which mods monitor.I think members that have over 300 post would have the privilege for pic signature keeping the inappropriete HD DUD scum out of the picture

It won't happen, it's just not useful or productive at all

the avatar is one thing. But the need for other pictures in a signature i just don't think would serve much of a purpose.

We've tried having images in the signatures, it proved to be a very bad idea since people are very "creative"

We will also cut down/limit the signature length a bit since it also seems to be a bit abused...

I certainly agree you should control the sigs a bit more here, you should also consider doing the mod to force the sig to the bottom of the postbit or at the very least go into your postbit legacy template and add a few php <br /> commands between the post text and the sig. Just to space it out a bit.

i think the sig should only be 5 or 6 lines so it doesnt take up too much page space

i've been on tons of other forums that allow html and pics in the signatures... first off it takes forever to load (especially when you're going wireless) and it takes a long time to finally scroll between posts
