B&W Tweeter replacement "?"

So, here's the deal, One of my rear speakers, a B&W 705, gained the attention of our Nanny's 3 year old daughter (who she brings with her everyday to our home)

The toddler removed the grill thing, and the shiny dome tweeter was just too sexy to resist I guess, and she caved it in with her finger...... it was only a small dent, and I looked up some info on the internet and figured out how to pop it out (special tape that didn't leave the adhesive on the dome) Now the tweeter dome has a small bit of discoloration from where it was "stressed" (I could take some pics but I don't even think it'd show up in pictures)

There is no noticeable change in the sound, and I even used an SPL meter on a table in the middle of the room, and did high-tone tests with Left, Then Right surrounds, (ran them as mains to put more power to them for testing) and there was no difference.

Despite all of this, and the fact you can't even tell unless I told you what to look for, I got a new tweeter assembly for it, because I can use the other as a spare if something worse ever happens to my L/R/C or rears (all 700 series with the same tweeter assembly)



Does anyone know what "tool" I need to remove the tweeter assembly on these speakers????? It kinda looks like a very small "Torx" but it's not, and it's not an allen (sp?) wrench type deal. Some sort of "STAR" I guess......

I'm told it's just a plug-in deal once I get it off though.....


The shop didn't know b/c a B&W rep goes to their shop to replace all of theirs (a lot of kids running around unsupervised in an audio shop is a BAD thing I guess!)

They ordered me an extra because they had 8 of theirs replaced.....

ALSO, if anyone has any good ideas to keep the grills on (if you're aware of these speakers, you know the tweeter grill isn't cloth like the other grills, and it's plastic) short of tape, or glue, or anything else like that! I really don't want to replace these tweeters very often, because they're pricey.
