Default sony 32" tv

http://www.digitaldirect.co.uk/produ...oduct_id=13482

Is this tv any good, i want to use it for my ps3 for playing games, watching dvd and blu ray and using ubuntu on the ps3 for some basic computer work and internet browsing. Will this be suitable and good for blu ray, at the moment i have a 20" fullscreen toshiba crt so it must be a step up right?

thanks

That Sony will be a huge step up. There is a 32XBR4 with the 120hz. At 32" it isn't that big of a deal to me, just keep am eye out for it. The s3000 is an awesome set.

thanks for the replies, to specify, this is 1080i right, is there that much difference between that and 1080p?

thanks

ps, this LG tv is cheaper, is it any better, they both have 1080i, they both have freeview, which one would be better? Ive posted the sony link again so you dont have to scroll up and down.

Its going to be a BIG step up. However, IF YOU CAN, pony up for 1080P. I saw a noticible difference on my recent upgrade.

Either way, you will still be compared to your current set.

Enjoy

go sony..looks like a great set! just don't know much about LG to be honest with you.

Depending on who you listen to, 1080p vs 1080i isn't noticeable by much if at all with anything under say 40". I used my sony 36" 1080i for 3 years and loved the pq on it until I made the step up to a 46"

I would agree with the others - the Sony is an awesome set, and at anything under 40", 1080p won't be too noticeable over 1080i.

I've also heard LG tv's are not very reliable at all, so definitely go with the Sony.
