So which is the best blu-ray player?

I've decided I want to save up some money and buy a modest home theater system.

It won't be until later this year that i'll have $5000 saved up, so keep that in mind.

I was thinking $3300 for the Sony 52-XBR5 HDTV, $599 for the Onkyo SKS-HT540 7.1 Surround Sound Speaker System, and $1299 for the Sony BDP-S2000ES.

That's the kind of thing i'm looking for.. whatever the equivalent may be this fall. I realized that even that top of the line Blu-Ray player isn't 2.0. That's a problem. Then I found this article: http://quadmaster.wordpress.com/2008...-disc-players/

The reason I wanted the $1299 player is because it was the only one that would output HD audio, but if I understand correctly, the BDP-550, arriving this fall, will not only be 2.0 but also output HD audio. Am I right? And that's only $500.

Can someone please clear up this situation for me?
