Default Need Help!!!

Hello all, Im new to the site and first may I say what a great site for The Blu-Ray players.

Heres my Dilema, I just bought the movie I Am Legend and my Samsung BD-P1000 will not play it! It keeps giving me the message "No Disc". I think this is because I have not updated my firmware I guess.

One other thing is I have NO idea on how to do this, or which one will to Dwnload or what! Im kinda in need of major help. I bought the player from Best Buy in Sept of 07, and had some problems with movies that have recently came out!

So if anyone one out there could find it in there heart to help a noob out, that would be awesome, If someone can help me out we may have to talk on the phone or something as I am not that computer literate. I would call of course ! Again and Thanx.

Confused

Not updating firmware is probably the #1 reason for movies not working . . . usually they're necessary updates (especially for the Samsung players ).

well what programs do you have to burn discs its kinda hard to explain how you do it cause theres a 1000 programs out there and all are deff but normally all you do is open up the program click make a data cd then find the firmware update drag it to the area to burn on disc and then click burn thats pretty much the basics

If i had a flash drive or memory stick would it be easier?

Can I put it on there then plug it into the Blu- Ray player?

Cuz I can go buy one those things are fairly cheap.

you should be able to download NERO for like a free month trial. I usually burn all my FW discs with NERO as I know many others do. It is pretty easy.

You just need a CD-R to burn it to.

Download your latest firmware from here.
http://www.samsung.com/us/support/do...sp_nm=BD-P1000

You must burn the firmware as an ISO image. Here is a free program you can download that will automatically burn it as an ISO for you.

Good luck.
