No CoD4 has no stratergy whatsoever you run in a shoot thats it. In this you can find ways to get around and try to ambush the enmy and its not rediculously easy to kill/be killed.

This game involves strategy which COD4 does not so comparing is pointless. I like the game because it involves more than just running in blasting and occasionally going prone to avoid gunfire. R6V is all about realistic damage and not getting blown away instantly, which is why its slow for some people. I agree its not everyone's type of game, but its by no means boring. As for aiming your gun, its exactly the same as aiming your gun in COD4, so I don't know why its apparently hard to do so.
I'd agree with you as far as online goes, the rooms I was able to join were lagging severely. I think you have to open a port on your router to be able to get around the 'unable to connect' messages on some rooms- but I really can't be bothered to go through that, so I just play split screen or single player. I used to play online on the first one more though. |

I played the hell out of the first one, despite the online flaws, I'm enjoying the second. I only found issues trying to join ranked matches, which didn't bother me because I usually don't play ranked anyway. I just wanted to see if it would work based upon what I've heard.
COD4 was awesome in almost all aspects, but I honestly got a little tired of it. And you cannot really compare the two, because each game is to be played completely different. Both games require a certain amount of strategy. But I feel in R6V, you need a lot more patience to be successful. So it definitely depends on your taste of gameplay. I've always preferred the more tactical shooters. I never touched games like Halo or UT, I honestly couldn't stand them. But I never went as far as saying they were utter crap. They were perfect for what they are, and what they were intended to be. |
