Anyone know where you can get an 80G? - Blu-ray Forum

I sold my friend on a PS3 and he was going to buy one today but couldn't find an 80G. He really likes the idea of the card reader so he doesn't want a 40G if he can help it. I called around but it looks like none of the retailers are carrying them anymore. Does anyone know of any retailers who might still have them or any online stores that carry them?

Seriously though, 80gbs are not easily had because there aren't any being put out there - You'll likely see this correlate with the MGS4 bundle when the 80gb returns...

Goto ebay if you must.

I think they have been pulled because they are releasing a new version of the 80gb bundled with MGS4. That is just a rumor, not an official

My buddy looked all over for one last weekend and couldn't find any. Ended up with a 40 GB.

Go to your local Blockbuster or Hollywood video rental place. Most of them sell new games and consoles too and the ones around here still all have the 80GB in stock.

Otherwise you can still try to find it on sonystyle.com. If you can find it on there you can also get their $100 off if you apply for and use the sonystyle credit card. Awesome deal.

I just browsed sony style and couldn't find any 80gb, even though they were available last week. However, ss has alot of 40gb bundles.

head over to ebay, there are many 80gb's.

They got the 80gig motorstorm bundle with extra controller for 560 thats with 3 day shipping included in the price and you can add a extended warranty if you want...I got it in 2 days also

Thanks for all the input. I'll check our local SonyStyle store and a few Blockbusters today. I checked the NewEgg link but they only had the 40G.

Yay I discovered Blockbuster and sony store usa *the local store not the online site* had 80gb ps3s, I directed one of my friends to blockbuster had a nice special bundle there.

Well seeing how the game comes out in june that could be a 2 month wait..

Yes, you can find it in June when it's released with the Metal Gear Solid 4. This bundle includes the MGS4 game, an 80GB PS3 and a DualShoack 3 controller.

Thanks all, I found a Motorstorm bundle at a local Blockbuster for $550. He was really wanting a PS3 for the media functions and not so much the gaming. He's got a 100" projector in a nice basement home theater with only a DVD player. I took my PS3 over and we watched I, Robot. He called me the next day from Frys asking where he could find an 80G
