i am so pumped to see what Facing Worlds looks like with the new engine. that map is my all-time fav!

Today, Midway and Epic Games announce that downloadable content for the award-winning first-person shooter, Unreal Tournament 3, is now available for PlayStation 3 and PC. The downloadable content consists of three deadly arenas: Morbias, Facing Worlds and Searchlight. PC users can find the new content at www.unrealtournament3.com, while PS3 users can download it directly from the PlayStation Network.

HOLY MOLEY

This is really another excellent reason I love UT,
I remeber some of the games getting almost 6
bonus packs...

The content is flowing from the modders, chris
is in happy land.

FREE!

Facing Worlds is my favourite UTIII map too.

So unless EA wants some cash, SCEA should allow those Team Fortress 2 maps to go up free too.

Yeah another plus PSN has over LIVE... Anyone remeber when Gears of War wanted to offer free downloadable content, and Microsoft made they make it a pay for service?

Well, Facing Worlds is awesome but the bot navigation could do with some work, they're a bit.. suicidal and I don't like how they snipe you with any old weapon from all the way across the map with insane acuracy.

Still lots of fun though.

Haven't tried the other maps yet.

Shin-ra can you find some screenshots from the new maps? And do you know if those maps are made by epic itself or from any other author?

my opinions of them...

Morbias: (DM, TDM)
Small arena, I do not feel like it captured the feel of the original.
Still hectic and fun.

Searchlight: (CTF)
I found this map required more extensive paying attention, for I
kept getting lost, it will be a while till I get a feel of exactly where
I need to go, the center most part of the map has two doors somewhat
contained area and its dark.. which means you can get turned around
easily.

CTF-Face remake (CTF)
A great remake, on a perfect classic, I found the bots actually found a sniper
rifle and went into a sniper position above to snipe the flag runners...

it is a bonus map pack from midway and epic, so it is content created by them. in addition, these maps are very polished...which is an indication that they were designed in-house.

Has anyone actually tried a 16-player Team/Deathmatch on the lego map? It's EPIC when there's bricks falling down and flying all around you!

damn.. epic that doesn't work really.

damn.. epic that doesn't work really.

i've played with 3 or 4 other people/bots at a time. 16 in that map must be crazy! the sky is falling!

I hit max and tried it, crazy in parts except the map is big enough that there are parts of it that do not see action all the time.
