I was in Best Buy today and saw this on teh shelf. I LOVE the movie so I picked it up. havent watched or sampled it YET, but I will later tonight. I paid only $14.99 for it. Not TOO bad.

What shocked me is that I dont see a single thread for this anywhere in here and there's no cover art for the open page on it.

Did this release sneak up on us and catch us ALL by suprise?

I like this one and Julianne Moore is a fox.

I saw this in the theater and when he
[Show spoiler]decided to change a guy in the theater yelled out "keep the porsche!"

I love this film. Very surprised there wasn't even any mention of it, especially since it wasn't an exclusive.

That said, I would like to see a review, I could live with a 3 in pq for something like this. Just not a total disaster.

Also, January is mega-expensive already and with the MSRP of this being $17.98, it should be priced now at $9.99, so I'll wait. But unless it's a total disaster, it will end up in my collection and now I have another dvd to retire.

That's to the OP for bringing this to my attention.

I totally forgot that came to Blu Ray, I used to love watching it years ago. Gonna pick it up, thanks for reminding us. 14.99 isn't bad, either. Wish it were 9.99.

I'd buy this movie just to look at Julianne Moore for an hour and a half

That scene at the toy store when Tom Arnold gets in a fight with the Barney type dinosaur is a classic. I have not seen this movie in years. I may just have to grab it.

Nice, I used to like this movie back in the day. Haven't seen it in forever though. Probably pick it up when it drops below $10.

I was surprised by this release too. Never heard anything about it until I unloaded it onto the cart the day before New Release Tuesday.

I'm holding off upgrading it just until I get the clarification that the film's theatrical trailers made it onto the release. They were on the DVD, but the Blu-Ray doesn't list any bonus features on the back of the case, so that's the only wildcard. I read from the only review I could find though that the transfer is really good, so it might be worth the upgrade on that advice alone.

Just bought this BD today and can verify, yes, there is one trailer on the disc. I never owned the DVD, so I don't know if it's the same one featured on that disc, or if there are multiple trailers on the DVD, but there is a single trailer on the new release. And, yes, the transfer for the actual film is no slouch.

That's the only scene I remember from this movie, and it made me crack up so hard! Best scene in the entire film for sure.

So, people on here think the transfer is pretty good, the opposite of what the official review on here says?

It's $4.99 on amazon.com right now, but I hate DNR'd movies, and don't find any joy in watching these kinds of transfers, even if I like the movies.

Watched this yesterday. Still enjoy it (the Arnie scene is definitely the best). It is predictable but it's a fun ride IMO. Now that Disney owns it, it will probably remain OOP. For those that are interested, they may be able to find it streaming.
