There are the usual suspects: Crutchfield.Com, JR.com, Amazon.com, Buy.com. I wouldn't rule out Newegg.com and TigerDirect.com for a receiver or a flat panel.. These are all good for commodity items. I'm not necessarily sure I'd order higher end speakers from any of them... but if you're looking for a mass market name brand like Polk or Klipsch they are solid or a receiver they're great. Receivers go on sale and are marked down constantly. I'd pick a model and wait and check places like TechBargains.com every day.
I've ordered from all of the above and haven't had a problem. |

For speakers:
Axiom - www.axiomaudio.com Aperion - www.aperionaudio.com AV123 - www.av123.com Elemental Designs - www.edesignaudio.com/ Audio Concepts - http://www.audioc.com/index.html Usher Audio - http://www.usheraudiousa.com/ For receivers: ? I don't know of any internet-direct brand of receiver worth mentioning For subs only: (Most of the companies listed in the "speakers" also make subs) SVS - www.svsound.com Hsu Research - www.hsuresearch.com If you were just looking for an internet dealer of all products and not companies which only deal their products through the internet, then I've misunderstood you. The best way to check on internet dealers of OTHER companies products is to use the BBB. Last edited by dobyblue; 04-02-2008 at 02:31 PM. |

www.hifi.com It's Cambridge Soundworks Loudspeakers, which offers pretty good quality on its Newton series of loudspeakers. It's internet direct, except for a couple of stores in MA, and famed loudspeaker designer Henry Kloss was their co-founder and lead designer before retiring and selling the company to Creative Technologies. Most of the designers under Henry's tenure still head up the design and construction today. They also offer a 45 day home trial period on anything you buy from them.
I would say the quality and price point of the Newton series puts them solidly in the range of Polk, Klipsch, and Paradigm. Check out the reviews and prices. With the 45 day trial period they might be worth checking out. |
