pioneer vsx-9120 - Blu-ray Forum

Hi,

i work in an electronic shop , and i was looking to buy a receiver. I was looking at the pioneer vsx-9120. I could get it for 399.99$.

I'd like to have some feedback about the receiver (is it good , bad etc) and how's the price.

i had a hard time finding anything on this receiver but from what i have read it is basically the pioneer elite vsx-91thx which goes for about $800, i would say that is a very good price for that receiver and pioneer is a really good company especially the elite line, looks like a really god buy. other than that i really can't say as i can't find much info on it or prices to compare it with.

I have had this Receiver since November. Excellent sound, easy to setup. Remote can be confusing (same key multiple functions) Don't let this stop you. READ the vsx-91 manual, same unit just not Elite series.READ reviews for the vsx-91 and 92 series.Remote is easily replaced by any universal one. Well worth the money and ocasionally I have seen it on sale. Check Visions, Future shop and Bestbuy all carry it.

Ive had this amp for a few days now, picked it up at futureshop.
setup was very easy and the sound blows away my old yamaha 5950. The HDMI video switching is seemless and very convenient. The decoding of the Master audios is the main reason I purchased this amp and it was well worth it, now i can finally enjoy my hd dvds and bluray movies properly.

I've had the 9120 for a few months now and I can hear an improvement over my 1015. There is more clarity and headroom. No regrets here!
