National Treasure 1, 2 Blu-ray pre-order Amazon

Hi,

I live in Belgium (Europe) and would like to pre-order National Treasure
1 and 2 on blu-ray from Amazon, my question is, are those movies region locked? If i buy the movies, can i play them on my PS3 that i bought in Belgium?

I don't think there's any way to be 100% until they are released and someone tries them out in a Region B player, but unless I'm mistaken most of the Disney movies (which these are) are locked to region -- so based on past releases, they won't work.

Doesn't mean they won't work when they come out though, I just wouldn't pre-order them probably.

No problem.

I will correct myself just a tad and say that there are a fair few Disney releases that ARE region free, but there are just as many I could find that were not.

Doesn't really change my advice much, but maybe it'll give you some hope that when they do come out, you'll be able to play them.

It is difficult to say. While Disney has region locked certain titles it has usually been new releases. For example Ratatouille and Cars were released on blu the same day, and both are Disney/Pixar movies. Ratatouille, the new release was region locked, Cars, the catalogue title was not region locked. If this pattern holds then National Treasure 1 would be region free, While NT2 would be locked. There is no way to be absolutely sure until it is released, or an announcement is made.

EDIT: It does look like the UK will have NT2 in early June, so if NT1 is region free then you could get that from the US and get NT2 from the UK.
