Turok........do you like it? - Blu-ray Forum

I know it's early for most to have bought or been playing the game, but wondering who likes it or not. I picked it up at BB today and played about 20 - 30 mins so far and I'm still on the fence.

I'm a big COD4 fan, so I tend to compare all games to that now. Rating COD4 a 5/5 would put my rating for Turok so far at 3-3.5/5 . I guess I need to get more game time to really make a final decision. The "gun" fights feel like Gears of war style, if that makes sense, whereas I like the "real" feel of COD4 or Soldier of Fortune: Payback.

I played trhe demo for both the 360 and PS3 and I was "meh". To me it seems only worth a rental and not a purchase

I hated the demo. But I have free rental coupons for all of 2008, so I'll still probably give it a rent lol.

The demo was better than I was expecting but it's not something I'd buy unless it was a real bargain.

Add me to the group that didn't care much for the demo. I wasn't that impressed with the graphics, and it doesn't really have anything that sets it apart from better shooters, ie COD4.

I will get it, but for the PC. I only play FPS's of my PC, because I cannot stand console controls for shooters. Also, my PC is much better than my PS3

. All other games types go to the PS3 though.

I dislike this game after playing on demo then I cancelled my preorder immediately.

I am playing the game right now. It is "fun" but not a blast. For those saying they did not like the demo, they are right on, but don't compare that with the game.

The kills are pretty cool and the graphics are better than the demo, especially the water effects. Got to love the bow as well!

Not a must buy if your not a fan.

Yes, the bow is what I like best so far.

I like it, not because its a great game overall, but its a decent fps that is geared towards the campaign. So many fps's these days have WAY too short of campaigns (COD4, Halo etc.) and Im not much into online deathmatch so this game fulfills pretty much what I had hoped for... Not an A+ title, but a quality game with a good single player story mode.

I do have to say that I did enjoy the knife parts, and the bow has always been a fun weapon in the Turok games.

Made me wish they would make a Rambo game . . .

Dug the demo, enough to buy the game this weekend, and so far I'm having a ton of fun with it.

Then again, I also bought Conan at its new 30 dollar price, and am having fun with that too, so that goes to show what my tastes in games are.

Looks like no Turok wil ever top the Original for me, I may buy this if someone can confirm there is a Minigun in this one, like the one from turok 1 on the N64 not like the one from UTIII.

Dont like the controls, seems more military based than it should be. Raptors seem to bite you in the ass before you even know they are there.

Its not as good as the n64 original. If anything its just like any other FPS and doesn't do enough to stand out from the crowd, if anything it wants to be more like the crowd, which is over crowded.

It was okay. I'm not going to run out and buy it. Maybe if it was 30.00. I did like knifing people that was pretty cool.

I have always thought that it would be cool to do that in Gears of War since Dom has that giant knife on his chest.
