If MS wants Yahoo bad enough, it will happen. Basically the article said Yahoo made a 'counteroffer' for an additional 12 billion, brings our total to 56.6 billion.

MS is making a couple of first in company history here. One is they are considering of borrowing this money instead of taking it out of their cash reserves; Two, they always develop something in-house to compete, this is the first major merger to acquire someone who is already successful. It is going to be interesting to see how this will all play out.

They might merge. I hear they're working pretty close with Tosh on a new version of the 360 and are even gonna let Tosh put their name on it. Surprised me. It was a while ago that I read that but I'll see if I can find the link again.
