Im interested to see what movies that defined your childhood or your teenager years. Which movies were good or strong enough to stick with you until today and forward. Wich movies did u quote andtalk about alot.
.. I find "The Goonies" to be an awesome movie, and i have seen it tons of times, but would i like it if i saw it today for the first time, or would i find it some kinda corny. My choices would be: The Goonies Blood in blood out Willow Pet Semetery Funny Farm (Chevy Chase) |

My favorite memory is my big brother taking me to see Star Wars. I was 5 when it came out and it was the first movie I saw in a theater.
Sadly, that is one movie going experience that will never be equalled in my lifetime. It's been all downhill since I was 5! |

I was only taken to movies a handful of times in childhood. My movie experiences come from TV. The sci-fi classics influenced me. The Godzillas, Creature from the Black Lagoon, The Day the Earth Stood Still, The War of the Worlds, Fantastic Voyage, and others.
Now, what inspired me toward electronics and computers? Well, the digital aspect was always an appeal, but I know "Lost in Space" reruns had more influence on me to enter computing than even Star Trek. It is also the reason I have a sizable Robot collection today. While I doubt I will ever see space travel in my corporial form, computers has formed my life, not just changed how I do things. |

Those are the only ones I can think of that I still love watching:
Star Wars Back to the Future The Goonies Stand by Me The Burbs Masters of the Universe (I know it's bad, but I love it!) I recently tried to check out some 90s TVs shows, that I totally loved and they really sucked this time around! Such as Highlander and Space Above and Beyond! I really wanted to enjoy them again so much... This also happened to some bad 80s flicks, so I am trying to keep the memory alive as it being a kick ass movie when I was a child and not try to watch it again now as I know I would be disappointed. |

Psycho
Scarface Friday The 13th Oh wait, that was a previous childhood. Star Wars (IV, V, VI) Superman I & II Raiders of the Lost Ark I still remember to this day how I felt walking out of the theater on each of these, all pumped up like you're one of the main characters. The funny thing is, I rarely get that feeling anymore. I wonder if it's because we become desensitized as we get older since make-believe tends to go out the back door, or if movies just change so much over time and we just don't always make the adjustment? Or maybe I'm thinking about this too much. ![]() |

The only movie I remember actually seeing in the theatre as a kid was "Who Framed Roger Rabbit". I also remember "Indiana Jones and the Temple of Doom" and "Return of the Jedi" at a friends house.... |

The Lion King II: Simba's Pride (The Lion King, too, but to a lesser extent). I remember watching this fantastic sequel to a fantastic movie when I was young, and I still love it just as much. I can only hope they'll release this on Blu-Ray along with the first film. Same with Toy Story 2, in that it's fantastic, I remember it vividly from when I was young and that I can't wait for them to release it on Blu-Ray.
Others include: Flying High (titled "Airplane!" in some countries) Charlie's Angels |

I remember seeing Back to the Future in the theatre when it came out and my aunt taking us to Toys R Us afterwards to get a toy.
Muppetts take Manhattan on a kids only Matinee day - dad dropped the inmates at the asylum and we spent all of our money and didn't have the $.25 to call on the pay phone. Going to the Muppett movie only because my mother wanted to see the muppetts sing "Rainbow Connection" Seeing the preview posters for E.T. and wondering what the movie was about. My dad taking me to see Clint Eastwood in "Firefox" and me asking so many questions that he had to go back by himself to watch it (I was 6 or 7) Seeing Raiders of the Lost Arkand seeing the Nazi's faces melting off. Not necessarily the best movies, but fun. Loaded up in the station wagon headed to the drive-in to see Mary Poppins and Cannonball Run. As I got older, I took my 2 little brothers and lilttle sister to see Jurassic Park. I then realized that the movies were just too expensive...it was better to invest in my own home theatre experience. Ahh, the good old days! |

Movie experience wise, the best thing was my mom getting me out of school early and taking me to the theater to see the new releases. Even though some of them weren't that good, just the fact of spending time with mom was great.
Which I remember watching Batman Returns in theater with her, the film had messed up half way through and she went off on the movie theater for they didn't want to refund nor give a screening to another showing for free. Talk about an angry mother. Thought she was for sure going to beat the guy down. Movies growing up were, The Goonies Back to the Future Batman 1&2 Star War Films Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtle Movie 1&2 My brothers porn on the Beta Tapes ![]() Police Acadmy Movies The Terminator Ferris Bueller Weird Science The Blues Brothers Aliens War Games "Shall we Play a Game of Chess" National Lampoon's Vacation Throw Mama from the Train Trading Places Spies Like Us Caddy Shack Nightmare on Elm Street Friday 13th Real Genius Top Gun Days of Thunder List can go on forever. ![]() |
