Default Hitman on Sharp Aquos BD-HP20

hey, has anyone had trouble viewing "Hitman" on a Sharp Aquos BD-HP20? i bought the film on a whim just for the eye-candy action i kept hearing about but for some reason it will not load on my Blu-Ray player. i thought it was due to a bad disc so i exchanged it and the new disc does the same thing. i even had the salesperson at Best Buy try the old and new discs and both worked on a display model at the store. so, then i tried the firmware update on the Sharp website and my player will not recognize the usb flashdrives i used. any tips and or suggestions; other than get another Blu-Ray player which is not in my budget at the moment?

Sorry, to hear about your problems. While I can not comment on the movie in question, I may be of service in helping you update your player's firmware. First, make sure your flash drive is in the FAT format, then copy over the .RVP file only. It is usually best to only have that file on the drive. Then eject and follow the manual's instructions for updating the player. Let me know what specific problems you are having if that does not work.

Default "Hitman on Sharp..."

thanks for your input; but i have tried that to no avail. called Sharp Corp. and they said they would send me a pre-loaded flash drive with all firmware updates. if that does not work then my machine will need servicing they said. funny thing though that this is the only film that will not load at all. now my player is having trouble with the audio on "No Country for Old Men" but resetting got that corrected.

Well sometimes in life even buying things one needs a little bit of luck.
If you are unlucky you'll get crappy things.

Wow that's pretty cool Sharp is going to do that for you.

I know I first encountered problems updating the firmware with my USB drive; then I switched mine with a newer USB 2.0 thumb drive, and it did the trick.

I had problems with Hitman as well on my Sharp. I thought it was just a bad disc from 'Netflix' but I see you're having trouble to. My 'No Country for Old Men' played flawlessly though, no problems there.

The problems I had with Hitman were towards the beginning when the guy blows up as he is hanging up in the shack. Then the scene after where it pans out and you see the explosion from a distance, it freezes up really bad. After that it played fine the rest of the way through.

I wrote that a while back on this thread but it seems at that time no
issues were discovered-playback,video,audio,loading all work perfectly
till I decided to venture into the special features of all the BDs.

A glitch was discovered. It seems the player cannot detect any video
when watching 'Making of featurette' only and I mean only. The screen
was like gone black only audio could be heard.Other features like previews,
bloopers, trailers and even Enchanted's D-Files could be engaged and played.

Have tried resetting the player but came to nought.Have checked with local
Sharp service center they could not provide answers.

Have any of you guys have had such a weird experience and if you did please
gemme some advice. I am baffled. Or do I need a firmware upgrade and I
think my player is the 1.0 version. Please rescue me from this predicament.
Thanks a lot.
