Default Dragons Lair HD

Does anyone know why you can't select a certain amount of lives when you play Dragons Lair HD? There are options to select 3, 5 or unlimited lives but no matter what you select its always unlimited. It might be an issue with Blu-ray technology. Anyone have any clue?

I noticed that too when I play it on my PS3 but why would you want only 3 or 5 lives anyways?!! It's a fun game but you won't get any bonus scenes, codes, or unlock extras for beating it at more difficult levels or anythings.

That feature doesn't work on the PS3 for some reason. I have no idea why; probably a mistake in the BD-j programming from Digital Leisure.

I would definitely want to choose 3 lives to keep it faithful to the arcade game. It's no challenge when you have unlimited lives. I hope Space Ace doesn't have the same issues. Anyone own the new release of Space Ace HD?

I read somewhere on this forum that Digital Leisures is aware of the unlimited lives issue, and is correcting it. They will offer replacement discs to current owners. Search the forums for "Space Ace" or "Dragon's Lair" and you'll find it.

You'll probably have to go to the publisher's web site for details. I have it too, and I wouldn't mind to have that feature working. However, considering how many rolls of quarters I pumped into the arcade game as a kid, I'll probably stick with the unlimited lives option.
