I was just playing Wii Bowling. Just about every shot either missed my target or I got a gutter ball.
Can any of you experts give me some guidance on ball control? Everytime I stick my fingers into my ball and thrust forward, the ball goes everywhere except for where I want it to go. Could I possibly have a defective Wii? ![]() |

Am I thrusting too hard or is my aim off? I am pressing the curve-ball option on my wiimote, but even when it lines up, by ball shoots in another direction. What am I doing wrong?????? Help me Obi Won Kenobi.... you're my only hope. ![]() |

Gonna get people upset with another one of your controversial thread names. Although I find them clever. Im thankful I still have ball control, in both ways

Hold the controller in your hand like a bowling ball, pull back and let got just like real bowling.
If you let go (A button? Sold the Wii, can't remember) when the controller is pointing at your feet your going to get a fast bowl but will steer off. If you let go as if your throwing in the air in front of you you'll get a slow bowl but it will be straight. ![]() |

*SIGH* it's part of a pack with the little "mini ball" about the size of a coconut I believe and a "mini driver" and "mini tennis club" or whatever there called lol (A RIP OFF) basically.

You have to take into account that the Wii has no detection movement, it only detects a partial series of inputs you have to execute or nothing will happen (of course you'll still have a result on screen, even if it's a randomised one just to show shaking your arm was not useless), it explains why hardcore gamers will only do a fast tiny move and be better than people swinging their arms like hell, as they do know the exact timing and move to do rather than try to do a nice or realistic move.
The Nunchuk is just a piece of plastic that costs about 5 dollars to produce (seen it in a French PSM issue but I'm sure it can be found on the net) and the Wiimote is an updated remote control. Last edited by TheTenth; 04-06-2008 at 03:27 AM. |

I'm just shocked the thread has gotten this far before spiraling out of control into a giant innuendo-fest.
