Your thoughts on half.com

I see a lot of great titles for great prices. I assume there all used. Has anyone shopped there?

Everytime I click on a movie it asks if I want to preorder it. Why won't it let me add it to my cart?

only problem I had with half.com was ignorant sellers.

I wanted to buy an audio cd with explicit lyrics (I like originality, not censorship)...and was described as having explicit lyrics on the site. But what did I end up getting?? the clean version.

Half.com ROCKS! I use it all the time, never had an issue.

The only issues you would encounter would be made by the seller. So it's recommended to give the seller's feedback rating a glance before you buy.

No problems either. Just like ebay, make sure to check the seller's feedback before you buy.

Yeah, basically the seller. I ordered Patton 3 weeks ago. Got an e-mail it shipped the next day, the package didn't show up for 2 and a half weeks and was postmarked the day before I received it. Come to find out the seller lives less than 25 miles away from me. Now that's some slow shipping.

I have used them a lot. Have a movie on the way from them actually. Most flicks I have been able to find new/unopened at a very reasonable price. When that has been stated, that is what I have received. Just like ebay, check your seller before you buy.

Also, there are new user $5 coupons in the Deals forum- check them out as they're well worth it.

Yeah, a sister company of eBay and you use the same user id and password, as well. It's basically a complete "Buy It Now" version of eBay. If people don't want to deal with the hassle of an auction, they can just put their products on Half.com at a set price. I've bought plenty of things from there... CDs and movies. So, there's always a chance of a shoddy product and seller like on eBay's auction site, but I've never had any problems.

It's kinda like Ebay, if you can find a good deal then it's usually a good deal. What you see is what you get.

No problems with half.com here! I bought a few CDs there a few weeks ago, but I haven't bought any Blu-rays from there yet. I'm thinking about it, though.

Half is great! I get alot of my textbooks from there. Just check out the feedback.

Just always research the individual seller, But its hit or miss. I've had great transactions and some where I had to file a claim.
