I've seen a lot of the set photos from this movie and am amazed at how closely they resemble actual panels from the graphic novel. Everything I've read states this is going to be a VERY faithful film translation. Couldn't be happier!

Doubt that's possible given the likely running time. What's there might be intact

Well they could put it on PBS. They love the 8hr versions of novel-to-film movies.

Why is that doubtful? "Faithful" just means they aren't taking creative liberties and changing out whole chunks of story. They can still abbreviate the graphic novel into film and not miss out on much of the story. Hell, 50% of the graphic novel is Rorschach talking to himself telling us what he's about to do, or already did.

I've got the second batch of stills of Watchmen. Five characters: Comedian, NiteOwl, Ozy, Rorschach and Silk. Looks promising.
