There doesn't seem to be any definitive information to confirm this in the articles, just more speculation from unnamed sources. The silence from Warner probably speaks the truth, but I'm still waiting for an official statement from Warner before I start celebrating

I haven't seen an official announcement. With all the articles stating it's a sure thing, we should have that acknowledgement from Warner within days. Certainly it looks like a sure thing but like Marwin said, there's been no announcement from Warner yet.

The latest speculation I've seen mentioned is "by the end of the month":

Quote:
HD studios are using their announcements about publishing in both formats—or pending announcements (Warner is expected to announce by the end of the month if it gets what it wants from Blu-ray; Universal is ready to do the same)—as a kind of good-faith

Good article. I agree that when Warner finally does announce support for BD, it's all over for HDDVD. I just wish they'd hurry up and get it over with. I wonder if all those HDDVD titles announced by Warner will be included in their initial BD launch.

Default Warner Bros. UMDs, Considering Blu-ray: Another publisher...

Warner Bros. UMDs, Considering Blu-ray: Another publisher may be falling into ranks with Sony.

This article indicates that Warner Bros. will be supporting both UMDs and Blu-ray!

i hate to say it but i think this rumor might have been started just to attempt to push Warner over to BD, i expect them to follow suit eventually but i'm starting to doubt that they have made the decision final yet

of course hours after i say this the official press release came in, well if my original speculation was right then the rumors probably did alot to fuel Warner's quick decision
