Also go to Control Panel -> Administratove Tools -> Services and make sure the TVersity service is started.

Sometimes it gets flaky and just stops running.

I assume you've allowed UPnP searching for Media Servers on your PS3, right?

I use TVersity on my PC (WinXP) and it works fine, though as mentioned above, it does take a bit of elbow grease to get it to recognize the PS3 and vice versa.

Hmmm didn't work for me either and finally just decided to go with my NAS, the port thing does sound right. I didn't try it, but I know my slingbox wouldn't work on my own network without the right Port fwding ports open.

Do you have UPnP enabled on your router?

Sometimes simply restarting the PS3 makes it work

I don't know if there's EyeConnect for you Windows people, but it works well. I installed it, turned it on and enjoyed.

TVersity is a really crappy program, unfortunately it is the best for streaming to PS3. I always have to go into the settings tab of Tvsersity and restart sharing, even though the service is supposedly running fine, if I don't my devices can't see the media server.

It is not the best at all. Its awkward and complicated, you just mean its free because you dont want to have to pay for something.

It does what most people want it to do. It works and free, what more you want?
