NetFlix stock purchases? - Blu-ray Forum

I'm sure that many of you know that on Monday and Tuesday Netflix stock (NFLX) dropped around 24% to end at 30. This is due to anticipated slowing growth for the remainder of the year, as well as rising costs, somewhat associated with blu ray discs.

I was wondering if anyone else found this a good opportunity to buy? I myself jumped in for 200 shares, as I believe in the service and feel that with the format war over, blu ray rental will be a profitable business. I know that Netflix is planning on charging a small premium for members that rent blu, but I don't think that will have a negative impact.

Thoughts?

I just stick with my Core-Folio account, but I hope your $6k turns into $20k for you!

I know I turned on my in-laws onto netflix, and they love it.... it's one of those things, once people give it a try, people tend to stick with it.... I think it'll grow in popularity.

I think it would take quite a while to turn into 20k, but I do anticipate the stock bouncing back into the 35-40 range by the end of the year. It's worth hanging on to, in my opinion.
