Klipsch Reference 52's

ok today i went to a place called "Ken Cranes" and i asked for some klipsch reference 52's speakers and they told me they were $200 dollars each. i thought they were $300 each. Does anybody know if the klipsch reference 52's cost $300 or are they $200 dollars each? and are they good? And i also asked for their pioneer elite 92 and it was $997. brand new. i was shocked because i thought they were $1,299.
does any body know how much the pionner elite 92 cost NOW?

The Elite VSX-92 are $949 on Amazon right now - and they have the RF-52s at $300 each.

yeah that place is authorized because i went to klipsch.com and they had it as one of their authorized dealers. you can check your self. the place is called
"KEN CRANES". I wonder why they were selling me the reference 52's so cheap!
they were selling them to me for $200 dollars each.

I'm confused. Wouldn't the people at the store have more accurate information about how much they are selling them for than anyone here?

Yes - I do realize that some employees aren't always the brightest, but even so - if they told you they are $200, I would imagine they'd sell them to you for $200.


As for whether or not they are any good, I don't have any experience with them, but as many others will tell you - only you can be the judge of what sounds good to you. See if you can go listen to them somewhere. If you like them, get them. Can't go wrong getting something you like.

The last part comes from a bit of experience. I had been checking out speakers online, trying to find some good deals. Found an alright one and went into listen to them at a local store. Very underwhelmed compared to some of the other stuff I listened to. Ended up not getting them and picked up a different set instead. I'm very happy with my purchase now. Have to go with what your ears tell you.
