Hey All
One Blu-Ray I've been itching to get is the Blu-Ray of DOGMA. It came out last month, and I assumed, like every other DVD I've ever bought, that it would be on the shelves of Best Buy when it came out. Lo and behold, nothing. I wait a few weeks, and it's still not there. I go to HMV to see if they have it, they say no, but that I can order it from them and that it can get here from the States in a few weeks. I order it and wait. I come in on Sunday, after waiting for about a month now, and apparently, they've had to order it in from the UK to finally get here. Does that sound really strange to you? I mean, it's not like I'm ordering in some really rare, obscure title. It's freaking DOGMA. It's something I've seen reviewed on all the sites, and it's a Kevin Smith movie, which automatically makes it a highly in demand DVD. So I find this bit of news a little hard to process. Has anyone here in either the US or in Canada been able to pick up the Blu-Ray of DOGMA from where you normally get your Blu-Ray discs without any problems? Because the only other time I've been able to not get a Blu-Ray from it's first day was with THE AVIATOR, and I eventually got it. P.S. Sorry for the bad language. Will curtail it in the future. It just really ticks me off that something that should be so readily available I have to get from across the pond. Plus, I'm concerned that the extras over there won't be the same as the ones here. Yea, i can understand where u coming from or usage of language to express your anger.. some city here not allowed make fun of religion movies. like in Cincinnati (a city in State of Ohio in US), they dont allow obsecene stuff. maybe the town you live in doesnt allow it? i agree with you, this is silly! you can buy someone here and import..? I'm not sure why the OP had such a hard time finding Dogma. I think the problem is only shopping at one store. I had no problem finding Dogma at my BB, but couldn't find Run Lola, Run at BB, CC, W*M, Target... NOWHERE! Finally found it at BJ's of all places... was floored. How can BJ's have it, but nobody else.
Now that I'm all move Northward again, I'll be buying many discs through Amazon, and hopefully not run into that problem again... plus, maybe save a fews bucks... Cheers, Doc. Last edited by doctorsteve; 04-15-2008 at 02:25 AM. Reason: Spellling... |
