Default Need opinions on BD movies

Me and my family just went on a BD splurge after selling our 3 HD-DVD players

Any opinions on which other ones to buy in the near future ( Pre-Pirates 1-2 release )

Ones we had:
Italian Job
Four Brothers
Talladega Nights

Ones we bought:
Pearl Harbor
Eight Below
Invincible
Ice age 2
Pearl Harbor
Invincible
Annapolis

Options to expand the library.. we are canadian but we have about $200 left from our HD DVD selling venture which paid off rather well.

One of the best BD's I own is Kiss Kiss Bang Bang. Its the clearest picture my eyes have ever seen. Swordfish, The Transporter, Underword Evolution, Gone in 60 Seconds and Last Samurai are great too. Not exactly family flicks, but really worth purchasing.

Swordfish Last Samurai and Gone in 60 secs are all on my list of future purchases. I have the other ones. Underword was my very first movie.

I haven't seen a better picture than Crank and The Wild.....and then there is The Descent (looks exactly like the theatrical presentation)!

I thought that "Black Hawk Down" ($26.99 at BB till Friday) had great PQ. However, since you are Canadian you may find it a little more difficult to locate titles like "Last Samurai" and other Warner Bros titles.

For family viewing I would suggest any of the following:

Monster House (Shouldn't pay more than $34.99 BB has the cheapest price)
Tim Burtons: Corpse Bride ($23.99 at Walmart)
The Wild ($29.99 Walmart best price)

If you just want to increase your BD library with some classics for cheap:

Stargate ($19.99 on at Future shop)
Total Recall ($19.99 on at Future shop)
T2: Judgement Day ($19.99 on at Future shop)

All the above are CAD$.

Goodluck and welcome aboard!!

Is there an issue with the sound too low on the BD version of The Last Samurai, like there is with HD DVD?

Not that I have noticed. The sound played fine on my system in Blu-ray.

More recommendations:
I had a lot of fun with Speed. The video transfer is top notch and the lossless audio track sounds amazing.

thanks.. i guess the wife decided our next purchase is failure to launch but ill sneak those titles in because i am a FS employee ( Home Theater Manager ), but theres not a whole lot of markup on BD discs, so somehow ill have to convince the actual manager to "store demo" some discs for me
